I am happy to say that Erlinda, fashion photographer extraordinaire has a new website and a new blog created by yours truly. She is very talented and I highly recommend working with her if you are looking for great images.
While googling her images I came across this image which I am sure she will appreciate ;) .

Aperture 3 Announced Today

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Apple Aperture 3 has just been announced today. I have downloaded the trial and will be putting the software through much use in the upcoming days and weeks.

From the looks of things this update has addressed most if not all of my issues with Aperture 2.1.4. The things that stand out to me are image adjustment presets when I’m importing and hopefully while tethering as well. Also non-destructive adjustment brushes and syncing/importing along with easier switching between libraries. Project template duplication is surprisingly included as well. There is so much more to this update of course, faces, places, video etc.

My use of Adobe Photoshop CS4 will be relegated only to photos requiring liquifying, layers or more complicated adjustments but it looks like now with Aperture 3.0 that so many adjustments can be done non-destructively on the raw and then output for whatever purpose is needed. Of course most fashion photos will still require liquifying etc but it’s nice to have the majority of the look done before even exporting.

Esquire Magazine Cover Shot on Video Camera

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Megan Fox Esquire Magazine

Is this the future? Video has been making inroads into Digital SLRs recently with the ability to shoot HD video on cameras such as the Canon 5d mkII. But the difference here is that a video camera, the RED ONE, now has the quality to produce magazine covers from stills within the video footage itself.

Esquire hired photographer Greg Williams to shoot Megan Fox for the cover of their June 2009 issue.
